The ALLROUNDER is a versatile tube production line.

Starting from either coil or blank material up to a finished tube the ALLROUNDER covers all the process steps of producing a tube in fully automatically.

The tubes can either be formed with an interlock with a subsequent clinching process or welded.

When producing an interlock tubing with subsequent clinching the blank ends will be stamped with an interlocked contour (positive and negative end on each end). These contours are then rolled into each other while roll forming the tube thus forming a finished formed tube without additional welding necessary.

When producing a welded tube, the blanks will be cut to size, roll formed and then welded to a tube. In this case an interlock feature will be formed at defined areas of the blank ends. This will prevent the roll formed to open up again before welding. The complex clamping process in a tube welding application is eliminated providing a very even and constant gap for welding.

Sequence of operation:
Material is fed either from coil or a blank stack. The line is pulling the blank or coil material very precisely into the eccentric press. While the material is fed into the line the coil peeling device is eliminating burrs, compensate for coil tolerances and/or chamfering the front side of the coil. Subsequently the precision eccentric press is forming the required geometry to the blank depending on the chosen tube manufacturing process. The blank feeder is taking over the stamped blanks from the eccentric press and pushes them very precise and defined into the roll forming unit. Due to the 5 roller bending system tubes can be formed with a roundness tolerance of 0.2 to 0.3 mm (.007 to .011”).
The roll formed tube shell is pushed off the mandrel and transferred to the discharge handling unit. This unit takes the roll formed tube and either transfers it to the tube clinching station, the tube calibration station or the Laser Welding Station, as well as onto the discharging position for finished product for packing. The clinching station further tightens and seals the interlock feature after roll forming. A finished tube without complex welding can be produced. If required the tube can be welded on the welding station with different welding methods to produce a liquid and gas tight tubing.
Optional can in future the tube to be calibrate to a roundness to 0.1 to 0.15 mm (0.004 to 0.006”) in a calibration station.
